Accessible Accommodation & Supported IndependenceThe Uki Guesthouse is a renovated, wheelchair accessible, spacious old Queenslander, located in a picturesque village on the banks of the Tweed River in the north-eastern corner of NSW.
Everyone is welcome to stay at the Guesthouse but we extend
an especially warm welcome to people with disabilities. We have several
independence aids and facilities for guests and can arrange personal
assistance with activities of daily living. The atmosphere is casual,
friendly and relaxed.
Uki is surrounded by World Heritage-listed National Parks, yet only 45 minutes from the Gold Coast (Coolangatta) International Airport. The village is situated at the base of the imposing Wollumbin Mt Warning - central plug of a massive (ancient) volcano and the highest, most easterly point in mainland Australia. Many people revere the mountain as sacred. Uki is the ideal "base camp" from which to explore the beautiful Tweed Valley and Byron Bay hinterland.
